I'm Muriel, a writer and editor living in Atlanta. I write about arts & culture, food, tech, travel, as well as personal essays. I'm also the Co-EIC of CommonCreativ ATL, an Atlanta arts magazine.

I have bylines at The Guardian, The Atlantic’s City Lab, VICE, NYLON, The Billfold, The Washington Post, Atlanta Magazine, Creative Loafing, AJC’s Living Intown and others.

Currently, I'm the associate editor at Hypepotamus — a tech publication covering all things startup in Atlanta. In a previous life, I was a writer/editor at TreeHugger, creative director at a local church and an associate editor at a women's business magazine.

I've lived in Atlanta for 16 years and before that, I was eating seafood on a daily basis in Panama. I have a B.A. in Journalism and English from Georgia State University.

You can find me on Twitter and Instagram, where I often document my quest to find the best tamales and my slight obsession with cheap airfare.
